Lost files!! Back to Utah because I need to do some serious catching up.. After Emerald Pools we had a little lunch then headed to the Weeping Rock trail. It was a short hike with amazing views.
Here we go again. After Pana we headed to Antigua to spend New Years !!!! We checked into our hotel room and my mother and I went for a walk around the town. I couldn’t contain myself and had to get out and stay out as long as possible. I LOVE ANTIGUA! i love everything about it the people, the vibes, the cobblestone, the ruins! This has always been my favorite part about my trips to Guatemala. After our walk I cleaned myself up and we had a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant then headed out to town.
Antigua, man oh man my new years eve will never be the same after this. EVERYONE gets together parties in the streets marimba playing, the good bye ceremony the grapes for good luck, dancing, fireworks and more fireworks. Just amazing. At midnight the fireworks go off and pretty much don’t stop till mid day!
New years day my sister and I woke up early to walk around take pictures while everyone was still sleeping.. I never sleep during trips it might be the adrenaline it just doesn’t work out for me. After breakfast I did some serious shopping (insert overly excited emoji here)
I’m really grateful for my parents love for their country and my aunt, they always teach us about the history. I think that is also the beauty of it all.
Please enjoy the images, I enjoyed photographing beautiful Antigua.
From the beginning now! We left Los Angeles at 3-4am to do good time…adrenaline that’s what kept us going and tons of coffee. We arrived to Zion at around 1pm we had to figure out how everything worked and shuttles all that lovely stuff, also a HUGE rock had fallen and was blocking one of the hikes I wanted to do so that was a bummer but whatever still want to go back and do Angels landing. Rambling I ramble.. Anyways zion was extremely hot that day 90s hot which we knew and we knew that Bryce would be much cooler so we were well prepared. We hiked to the emerald pools (see pictures below) which was a 3.5 mile hike or so, that was a nice hike to get our feet wet it had its share of good shade which was much appreciated. We weren’t sure where we were going exactly we just went and thankfully didn’t get lost, always a plus. When we arrived to the upper pools it felt like a little oasis we were surrounded by trees, rocks and grand cliffs. After this we had lunch then headed to weeping rock which I will get to on the next post 😁.
This past weekend my friends and I finally took our trip to Utah after months of waiting for it the day finally came and went.. We started in Zion Canyon but will get to that LONG ASS DAY later. I wanted to start with Bryce because I feel like it changed my soul (
oh yeah this probably won’t be the first time I say that)
We headed out to Bryce around 7:30am Mountain time and arrived there around 9-10am. When we opened up the drapes in our lodge that morning we saw the pink clouds in the sky, that right there was a sign that it was about to be the best day of my life. Fairyland Loop is an 8 mile hike EIGHT FUCKING MILES, something I have never done we ended up around 8 thousands feet above sea level or something along those lines. At some point i hated myself for planning this out, it was painful and beautiful at the same time.
I don’t think anyone will ever understand what it is like, it literally feels like a fairyland that is exactly what that felt like. So unreal, so enchanting, Bryce is a unicorn that’s what it is a UNICORN! Half way through this enchanted magic land and feeling like hell I jokingly said “I feel like I am sweating out my demons right now” Little did I know that I would suddenly start feeling lighter like I left what I needed behind (
so deep i know..now let me ruin it)
Bryce Canyon, I love you thank you for your beauty and grace. *insert Blessings – Big Sean*
Please ENJOY PART ONE
And so it began…
Vernal falls!! Ok so looking back the hike wasn’t bad plenty of people yes, but in the moment it felt like we would never get there. I will say it was enchanting, hearing the stream as you hike is by far the best part of that experience. I hike with my dog a lot and do wish I had her there, she’s my sidekick.
After Sedona we headed up to the Grand Canyon, lots of driving was involve that weekend went from not appreciating it to loving it. Anyways, Grand Canyon didn’t know what to expect the whole drive there I was so curious as to how it looked, where we would start on and on.. Nadia and I came to the conclusion that it was built by aliens. Even when we got there it felt so untouchable and surreal.
one thing I’ve been making sure to do in every place is to just sit there and take it all in if you see my Instagram and you see that picture I am doing just that taking it in an savoring the moment.
A couple of weeks ago I took a trip to Arizona with my parents, sister in law and my dearest friend Nadia. My soul purpose of that trip was to go to Antelope Canyon, but researched places to go and found Sedona. Let me tell you how amazing and beautiful it was, will definitely be going back to hike and enjoy it calmly. The drive was so enchanting I knew that moment that the time spent there wouldn’t be enough and it sure wasn’t. Truly enjoyed every second spent there, and below are the images I took. I am extremely fascinated by clouds..
