If you have a chance, wait for it.
More of trips I haven’t blogged about. We went back to O’ahu in October last year and we had a ball!! GAhh I still remember being in the water and thinking to myself this is my life I get to enjoy and live this. I had a pretty rough year last year it’s complicated to explain and for some people to understand because I’ve been blessed to see so many amazing places but shit sometimes we just need to figure ourselves out to truly be in these moments.
I follow a blogger/photographer that deals with her anxiety and depression in what I could only describe as graceful. I have had the honor to exchange messages with her regarding that and we could both agree that getting out there even if it’s just to watch the sunset and just really be present and grateful to be apart of something magical is all you need sometimes. I am the luckiest human being I have people around me that try to understand what I am going through and help me during these anxious times..
I took pictures of a lot of sunsets during my trip and HERE THEY ARE:
I’ve been absolutely horrible when it comes to updating my blog.. BUT ladies and gents Maui West aka the time my sister and I almost died #dramatic
Just like any trip I researched things to do must sees etc. I found a blowhole that was near our resort and decided to give a go. We started driving west and driving and didn’t see signs or actually knew where we were going for that matter. We stopped at a couple view points and kept driving.. At some point we decided we were just taking the scenic route and not bothering looking for the blowhole or beaches.
So about that “research” clearly it wasn’t that well since we ended up in a one way cliff to sum it up..We didn’t die
obvs but did experience a traffic jam when a car was coming from the other direction and had to be guided by a local. There were 3 cars in front of us, which worked in our favor my sisters nervous wouldn’t have been able to handle all of that. Just imagine a little car on the side of a cliff… that’s exactly what happened to the car coming in the opposite direction. Maui West was stunning from every angle also extremely dangerous.
There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Perspective.
Over load… We detoured MAJORLY to the coast Sunday and fell in absolute love with Carmel by the Sea. Monterey is such a lovely place it is now on my list of places to explore slowly as well as Big Sur. The drive was so beautiful, Absolutely no cell service pure perfection. Words are not needed to explain the beauty that was witnessed.
Carmel by the Sea
Tuna Canyon , is by far the most beautiful hike EVER (you’ll hear this from me quite often) I headed out with my friend Nadia and my dog Anya on a Saturday. The day was gorgeous clear skies there were sooo many sailboats out that day. We weren’t exactly sure where we were hiking to specifically we were just exploring the area and enjoying the view to the max.
One super scary thing that happened was that my dog was attacked by two other dogs, I guess the owner couldn’t control them and one wouldn’t let go of her neck. Not much damage was done since my dog didn’t move until he decided to let go of her.
Overall it was a very magical experience and I recommend it to anyone. According to the website it’s not visited much which I will agree, to me that’s the charm of it the peacefulness is felt from the moment you start walking.
