If you have a chance, wait for it.
HELLO! 2016 has been wild and we still have 6 months to go. In May we (my sister Karen, our cousin Sam, and my sister’s friend Jeannette) jetted off to Europe we started in Barcelona, TAPAS, TAPAS, TAPAS!! I usually google till my little chubby fingers are tired but, I did no such thing this time around. I was extremely excited to be traveling period and just wanted to “wing it”.
I think the most memorable thing about this trip was our bonding experience, we laughed SO much to me that was a beauty within itself. Not to diminish all the beauty we encountered or culture it was all there, just not afraid to pick favorites is all.
One thing we started doing during our trip was “3 things you are grateful for about this trip” I think we all realized the importance of how humbling our trip actually was.. My dad always encouraged us to travel if we could. Traveling was never my thing and I have said this before, it is one of those loves that I didn’t expect and I am obsessed with wanting to see the world and all it’s wonders that it has to offer.
ANYWAYS, enough of that! In Barcelona we stayed a block away from Sagrada Familia, FUCK! that place is ridiculous and overwhelming, the amount of detail that is going into it.. jaw dropping. The only reason I gave up on planning out Barcelona was because everything I wanted to do was too far or would take too long, it felt upsetting so winging it seemed like the best choice. I would love to go back and do everything I really wanted to do.
My favorite part about Barcelona was Gothic Quarter! We pretty much found it by luck we weren’t exactly sure where we were going and the next thing you know there we were. There was this ice cream shop that I fell in love with, everything about it’s location and the style was perfection. Another favorite moment was this man and his bubbles!! This is the most genuine moment I’ve experienced in my life (that statement may or may not be an exaggeration but fuck it.) It really made us stop an just enjoy that moment, watching him and the people and kids smiling something so simple made strangers happy.
Thanksgiving morning I headed out with my pups Anya to the Wisdom Tree (locatedby Lake Hollywood), this hike is by far one of my favorites EVER! Going there was the best decision. It was soooo soothing and tranquil. Everyone out that morning was sweet and happy, Holidays do that to people I guess. Being on top of this mountain made me realize how much I appreciate nature bright blue skies and greens what more could I ask for?
Solstice Canyon, Malibu
Hiking near the beach has been on my to do list for quite sometime now. I started searching a couple of places found Solstice Canyon and decided to give it a try. My friend Blanca joined me on this LOVELY adventure of not knowing where the fuck we were going.. I have always enjoyed getting lost, there is nothing better than to be lost! You forcefully remember where you’ve already been. Safe to say I will be giving this another try, it was so beautiful can’t even imagine how amazing it will be in the summer time.
One of my ultimate LA things to do is HIKING! My mom has been taking my siblings and I since I could remember. Growing up and living walking distance to Griffith Park has a lot to do with it, but now I’ve expanded my horizon and found new places. Sunrise and Sunset hikes are fucking magical and that’s all anyone needs to know. Being on top of a mountain as the colors in the sky change there is nothing better than that…except food and other things but this is definitely on top of that list for me.
Please enjoy my collection for 2014.
(Street in Burbank, CA)
Chinatown Summer Nights is one of my absolute favorite things to do in the Summer. This was the second year my friends and I embarked our journey. Food trucks, CONFETTI POPPERS, DJ’s and live bands, what more could I ask for? Love that this event brings people together to explore what we usually wouldn’t, the ambience of it all is just amazing.

Popoia (Flat Island)
Saved the best for last, our trip to Kailua! Kayaked my way to Popoia Island which means Flat Island, learned so much about the island thanks to my tour guide. Truly enjoyed watching the water hit the dry coral island something about the colors and textures that I just couldn’t take enough pictures.
Fun Facts about Popoia: Wedge Tailed Shearwater come to the island to nest these monogamous birds are the cutest. The only way they’ll divorce is if they fail to breed and the male is to blame.
The island itself is a Seabird Sanctuary the fine is 10,000.00 if caught disturbing the birds..it might be 5,000.00 still a lot.
Hawaiians once used the island as a fishing shrine where they would offer fish meat to bring in good luck in fishing. The shrine, is no longer there.
This being my first kayaking experience I absolutely loved it. The lifejacket made me feel at ease, I tend to panic in deep water. Such a great experience.
After returning the kayaking gear I met back with my sister and headed to Lanikai(which was on my top three must do’s in Hawaii). Words can’t even describe the beauty of this place, its tranquil and enticing. From the entrance to this beach you know you’re about to walk into something amazing. The weather was amazing that day too it was just perfect.
I am a huge fan of artsy stickers, had to snap a pictures of the ones that were on the entrance post. More specifically I was looking for this pineapple grenade that I saw the first day in Oahu, never saw it again.
Na Mokula (Two Islands) Moku Mui the larger one and Moku Iki the smaller one are also Sea Bird Santuary locations and activity is limited and according to my tour guide dangerous.
This is the end to my Oahu Bliss…my love for Hawaii is immense and I hope to go back again.
