Lisbon!! Lisbon is one of those places that just felt like home…BUT let me start from the beginning with Lisbon.
We got there waited in thee longest line for a taxi, blah, blah, blah, I left my phone in that taxi and that was the start to the best thing to ever happen to me. Yes the thought that someone could invade my privacy still haunts me at times but, then again if they connect to wifi my phone would reset itself THAT makes me feel better……… With that said just thinking about it now gives me chills. I am that person that doesn’t let anyone touch their phone, I am not hiding a damn thing I just don’t like it.
Our first night there we stayed in after walking around our little neighborhood, our host left us a bottle of wine, we bought take out and my sister cooked for her vegetarian friend Jeannette. Safe to say we had a great night.
We woke up bright and early since we only had one full day to see what Lisbon was all about. This is where things got interesting for me and the fact that before this I was texting my best friend and parents like I was still in town. I am that shameless person who is always on their phone, and I saw this as a challenge and learning experience. The only thing I had was my camera and my camera became my best friend, I paid more attention, was definitely in the moment. Jeannette was mailing post cards and I decided to do just that. The art of post cards is rather dead and even though everyone got their cards after I got back I still had so much fun writing and mailing them out.
One of my favorite moments in Lisbon was sitting on stairs and having this amazing limeade slushy drink. There was something so calming about that moment that will resonate with me forever. Up to this point we had laugh so much especially in Madrid when we tried to only speak Spanish and I failed miserably, and laugh is what we did then too.
After our little break we continued walking around
slightly lost Lisbon has so many boutique shops with the cutest souvenirs and knick knacks, LOVED IT! After a full day of walking, exploring, and shopping we headed back. We are really fond of the Airbnb motto and we try to live like a local, which for us means cooking. I know what you might be thinking, why not go to bars and explore? I am not that big of a drinker and I love the whole sitting around a table intimate moments, I live for that shit.
Thank you Lisbon for engraving yourself into my soul. DEEP!
Our Airbnb was the absolute cutest!
After Sedona we headed up to the Grand Canyon, lots of driving was involve that weekend went from not appreciating it to loving it. Anyways, Grand Canyon didn’t know what to expect the whole drive there I was so curious as to how it looked, where we would start on and on.. Nadia and I came to the conclusion that it was built by aliens. Even when we got there it felt so untouchable and surreal.
one thing I’ve been making sure to do in every place is to just sit there and take it all in if you see my Instagram and you see that picture I am doing just that taking it in an savoring the moment.
ANTELOPE MOTHAFUCKING CANYON!!! I can’t begin to explain this place and all the emotions I felt being there. It was a beautiful day, the whole weekend we saw everything from snow to hot and windy weather so we weren’t sure what we’d get. To get to antelope you have to go with a tour company, which we did and it reminded me of Guatemala sitting in the back of a 4×4. Our guide was beyond amazing very knowledgeable and helped me out a lot when it came to taking the best shots. Overall such an amazing experience loved that I got to see it in so many lights, as the day goes by the light changes the colors and it’s so magical.
After antelope we headed to horseshoe bend, quite the little hike that one. Horseshoe bend was amazing and terrifying hello fear of heights I didn’t even know I had.
Wasn’t going to post this till after Grand Canyon but meh…please enjoy 1/4 of the pictures that I took.
London was absolutely stunning. We left Paris on a Sunday had an incredibly dramatic exit. Let’s just say stick together and don’t think of getting off of a train in a foreign country. Anyways, we were only there for 48hrs but they were the best 48 hrs ever. Everyone was friendly and moving oh so quickly. The first thing I did when I got there was go to Tate Modern…ended up taking two trips and still didn’t make a dent but enjoyed my time and took the time to speak to one of the photographers. London left me feeling some kind of way, mostly wanting more.
London Eye View.
London Natural History Museum
gahhhh!!!! Ok,SO! I had been obsessing over the Natural History Museum, so much so that I purchased their book about the architecture. The exhibit was pretty cool too BUT being there in all that beauty was everything to me.
Versailles, Versailles, Versailles…beauty like no other.
While I was in school for interior design and during my ballet classes I learned so much about Versailles that I just hold it very dearly to my heart. I remember vividly watching the ballet documentary and them bringing up Louis XIV, ballet enthusiast.. Versailles holds my biggest passions that make me, me.
I will say it is quite overwhelming being there with the crowds and just all the detail within itself. Loved seeing that they tried doing a faux finish for some of the door moldings && was amazed by all the upholstered wall coverings. The colors for some of the rooms are so bold it and daring.
Such an amazing experience I hope you enjoy my images..
I went to PARIS!!! My blog has been in need of some serious TLC, so here it is! It is safe to say I did NOT get enough pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Paris was absolutely stunning and everything I ate was delicious, because lets be honest food is everything(
especially when really excited…might just be me).
We (my sister and I) stayed in a little flat in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, loved loved loved that little neighborhood it was everything it had everything. When you think of Paris you’re thinking of Saint- Germain, from the shops to restaurants it’s all a stroll away.
This is one of three posts about Paris, might get into detail but meh I’m still in Aw just looking at these images. Please enjoy the beauty.

Beach Beach Beach!! So far I have taken two beach trips to Laguna and Hermosa Beach. Laguna is my little hidden gem that I love and can’t ever be a wrong choice (minus taking the toll freeway and getting a ticket). It’s clean the water is clear, warm, and the waves are soft, what else do you need? I discovered Laguna last summer and fell in love with it, it is quite a drive from where I live but it’s totally worth it.
On my search of finding great beaches in Southern California, Hermosa was on a couple top 10 beaches. Had to check what the big fuzz was about, loved that it was a beach community. It’s not touristy which is always great lots of places to eat and hang out, you could say it’s the less touristy version of Santa Monica minus the rides at the pier. There was too much seaweed for my personal taste but other than that I liked it. I had been to Manhattan Beach before and always enjoyed my time there, these two beaches are right next to each other.
Hope I have way more beach trips to come, Summer might almost be over but this heat is just getting started.
